Getting Started

cfho-gettingstartedCrossFit High Octane requires new members to take our introductory classes called “ELEMENTS” before graduating into the group WOD’s. Our experience is that clients (athletes) who are new to CrossFit usually require more attention and instruction. This is not a matter of your fitness level, but the emphasis of the 101 classes is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. It is designed to prepare you to enter our ongoing group classes. Technique will be emphasized for both your safety and success at the next level.

Elements consist of a series of one hour classes. During this time, one of our experienced instructors will introduce you to technique and mechanics, movements that are relatively non technical to progressively more technical. There will be a workout at the end of each session.

If you think you should be excused from the requirement of the Elements classes, please contact us. An example of someone who might be excused is a person moving to Apopka/Orlando who has been a member at another CrossFit affiliate.

We highly encourage you to take “Before” pictures before you finish your Elements classes. Also take your body composition. This is one of the most motivating ways to measure your success.

If you are new, you must CALL AHEAD – please do not just show up!! If you do not call ahead, you will not be allowed to workout – but you are always welcome to watch!
